This coalition has been formed to bring non-profits together from across the region to support one another on #GivingTuesday
Each member will be expected to re-share, re-tweet, and like the content of the other members throughout the day on #GivingTuesday.
This will help boost each member’s social media activity, increase the reach of each piece of content, and raise more awareness and support for everyone.
The Tuesday after Black Friday has become #GivingTuesday.
It was created to give people an opportunity to come together as a community in support of great causes the many charities around us are fighting for.
It’s a bit of the opposite of what Black Friday as come to represent.
People focus on rallying others to support their favorite charities by using their social media to create content, re-share content from charities, and joining discussions focused around the causes these charities support.
This year, #GivingTuesday falls on December 3rd.
Register to join the coalition! The form is at the bottom of this page.
We will keep you in the loop for future opportunities to come together.
You can still help by liking and re-sharing the content from our members.
You can also be of great support by donating, volunteering, and spreading the word about our members’ causes.
Some members are seeking new hires too. Don’t be shy about reaching out to them.

Investing in girls’ education is one of the most effective ways to reduce poverty. Investments in secondary school education for girls yields especially high dividends. Girls who have been educated are likely to marry later and to have smaller and healthier families. Educated women can recognize the importance of health care and know how to seek it for themselves and their children. Education helps girls and women to know their rights and to gain confidence to claim them.
